Moffit is the best SC Coach in CFB, IMO. He has conditioned NC teams before LSU. His wife is from Louisiana and I know he is very happy at LSU. We looked very underpowered last year because of his illness. He couldn't devote as much time to LSU. He is probably the most underrated guy on our staff, I don't think people realize how valuable he is and the blow it would be if he left. Our conditioning this year compared to last was like night and day. You could really see it on the field.

People like to make jokes about him on TD. Saying he bulks our players up and reduces combine numbers. I really don't know what to say about that kind of ignorance. I guess when people read a kid runs a 4.4 under his profile they believe it. But in reality, it is incredibly rare even at major programs.

Each Coach gets paid by the state, as long as Moffitt been here he could a state pension, just like Coach Mac did. This is why, if I was a Coach for an state school, I would stay as long as I could, put my 20 years in one school or longer.

Man that makes me feel better, but even still, kind of troubling. I mean just the impact that Wilson has brought with St. Aug cannot be measured.

Unfortunately it is something we all have to learn to live with. Having a successful program, asst's and coaches get raided. As was mentioning in another thread, crediting Saban with his coaching tree, I pointed out that it is LSU's coaching tree. When you look around college football today, there are 8 programs with head coaches that have been part of the LSU program over the past decade.

Currently 4 of them are heading top 25 programs. Look for 6 to be top 25 over the next few yrs. LSU coaches are dominating college football and that is why anyone who doesn't have one, wants one.

The only way I see Wilson leaving is if he started to have aspirations to be a OC one day. Don't think that will happen anytime soon.
