http://247sports.com/Player/Russell-Gage-28027 Doesn't have the offer list that impresses you, but don't be surprised if we round out the WR crop with this kid. http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2013/10/green_wave_high_on_redemptoris.html (interview)
Well you know how that goes.....WRs can become DBs and visa versa. Another Claiborne? 3 star, listed as WR. Would be nice.
https://twitter.com/JimmyDetail/status/427550991559319552 @JimmyDetail: 2014 Redemptorist ATH Russell Gage picked up his #LSU offer today Look for him to commit real soon.
No surprise here. Good pickup. Really good kid. @FambroughAdv Redemptorist ATH Russell Gage has committed to LSU as CB. More to come at http://theadvocate.com http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsurecruiting/8235814-123/redemptorist-athlete-russell-gage-commits The 6-foot, 174-pound Gage is projected to play cornerback in college. “This is something I dreamed about and prayed about for a while now,” Gage said. “I knew LSU was where I wanted to go, so I waited for an offer. Once I got it, there was no question.”
He has been waiting for a long time now and I am glad he got the offer today. Now we need him in the weight room pronto. I think that settles it with Adoree. I have heard from a few that his offer would come when LSU felt it was not likely with Adoree. LSU just had in week visits with him in Cali and his parents in St. Louis.
That was pretty much my fear that the Gage offer was the closing of the door on Adoree. I figured USC had put in too much good work. I hope that is not the case.
