While I am pleased with the progress Harris seems to be making and his basic skillset for at least his freshman season I hope he can at least be an effective game manager until he matures as a QB and is ready for the Tigers to be "His Team" He doesn't have to win games, just don't lose them.
I remember seeing Rohan Davey after coming out of high school, he was in the Fla/Ga All-Star game in the Ga Dome. Harris reminds me a little of him. Harris stands tall in the pocket, flick of the wrist for the ball to go 40 yds. You can see that Cam is having his effect on him. He could be another Zach, but with good wheels. Before he leaves LSU, he will be able to make all the NFL throws. Harris will get better as the months pass. I'm not forgetting Jennings or any of the other QB's, its just great that LSU has this kind of depth at the position. I like the OL players that we have returning, we should be able to control the line, move a defense when needed. Grimes will have them playing better, knowing how to block, doing so much better on pass blocking. Technique is major on the OL, playing as one, too many things can go wrong on the OL, this will be so much improved this year, can't get here soon enough.
I'm never getting over excited about a quarterback again. Harris is gonna have to earn it on the field before I crown him. We've never had much luck with off the field braggarts.
Exactly. Just a bunch of hubba balloo. Thin and inexperienced at QB, thin at WR and RB but hey, great OL and don't forget we still have that clock managing juggernaut Gonna be a fine year
