Just had one of my members post this from his (TB's) facebook page. "After 18 years at CBS and 16 years as the Host of College Football Today, I am leaving CBS Sports. I will no longer be the Host of College Football Today or provide play by play services for their golf, football or basketball coverage. This news comes on the heels of my announcement that the Tim Brando Show will not be returning to CBS Sports Network. It was truly a privilege to cover The SEC on CBS, The Road to the Final Four, and more recently The Masters for Masters.com and The PGA and Champions Tour. It was an honor working there. I am looking forward to new opportunies and making many exciting new memories covering sports. I greatly appreciate all the love and support from my loyal fans! Please stay tuned to this page, as we will post news as it becomes available! Don't forget- you can ALWAYS listen to the show from 8-11am CT on SiriusXM College Sports Nation, channel 91. Thanks for your continued support- Timmy B." https://www.facebook.com/timbrandoshow
Why couldn't it have been Verne? Must we truly suffer through another season of that imbecile? Calling the replay as if it were live action during the aTm game should have been all they needed to show his ass the door.
How the hell does an OU homer fit into the SEC Network. Man this showbiz stuff makes for some strange bedfellows.
I'd have to assume if the right person comes up you jump on it. Brando has been calling SEC for a long time and would be a perfect fit for the SEC Network.
The man does love his Sooners but I've never had any issues with his coverage of SEC football. He's done a solid job on the early games on Saturday's, IMO. Now that I'm thinking more about this I may have confused Dari and Joe Tessitore as the guy anchoring the SEC Networks's studio show. (If I recall correctly, Tess is a BC guy.)
