This just in, the former Croom, former Starr award is once again the Croom award at Bama. The award will now be titled "off again, on again Croom award".
This just in, to avoid any mishaps, Bama will hold a 2 day seminar to explain to recruits that they were not tricked into playing for Miss State, just because the Croom award is given out at Bama.
In further news from the Bama camp, it seems as though there is much confusion reigning. Several recruits actually thought that they were going to be playing for the Miami Dolphins, as they got signing bonuses and the coach's name is Shula. To avoid further problems, Coach Shula is legally changing his name to Bart Starr.
This just in, The Starr family has placed an injuction against Shula's proposed name change. Shula decided that since the original reason he dropped the Croom award was to help recruiting, that he will now change his name to Mike Sabin. His official statement follows: "In a continuing effort to disinfranchise myself with SEC coaches and programs, like the tricks I've been pulling on fat Fulmer at Tenn, and that idiot Croom at Miss State, of course Auburn doesn't need my help... anyway I am now gunning for LSU. I will change my name to Sabin, and if that don't help recruiting nothing will, uhhh, is this thing on? You guys aren't taping this are you? huh?" More news at 10:00.
