This is complete horse shyte. I hate these MFing gumps more than ever. Karma is a bitch and its turning the corner heading to Tuscalooser. http://espn.go.com/college-football...abama-crimson-tide-quinton-dial-miss-time-hit
If Nick wasn't going to bench a kid who suplexed a RB, and the SEC decided to just stand there with its thumb up its ass, who really thought there was a chance of anything coming out of this?
Well no, you are wrong, again. LaMichael Fanning was suspended for the next game by coach Saban. He wrote two letters of apology to the Mizzou coach and the offended party, one Russell Hansbrough. The bad news is that LaMichael couldn't take it back. The good news, LaMichael has found two new pen pals. Recently, coach Saban has sent two offending players home from Miami for breaking curfew.
It's the same story year after year. There are different standards for Alabama & Auburn than for the remaining 12 teams. As long as the SEC HQ is in Gumpville this will not change. The next "home-cooking" will occur soon when the SEC announces an extension of the baseball tournament in Hoover. Is it the best park in the 11 SEC states?...NO Is it the best location in the 11 SEC states?...NO Is it a desirable place to visit for fans from the other 10 SEC states?...NO Even so they'll find a way to keep it in their backyard. Is the Birmingham Bowl worth a damn?...NO Even so it will remain in the SEC lineup because it's in their backyard. Why did the baseball tournament add two teams? Likely because they were worried the bottom-dwelling "home" state teams would be excluded without additional help. Would any non-Alabama school have gotten away with the Scam Newton fiasco? You know damned well they wouldn't tolerate it outside the "home" state. Would this player be suspended if he played for anyone but Alabama? ABSOLUTELY! There's no conspiracy theory needed...and no, bad calls don't even out when you play the Gumps. Until the SEC HQ moves to another state this will continue. There are no professional sports in Alabama...and Alabama & Auburn have historically sucked at everything but football so expect the impartial treatment to continue.
Being impractical (though wrong) is one thing, doing it in the public media face is plain stupid and will only cause more headaches to the Alabama Universities. This forces the rest of the SEC teams to hate the state even more. Go figure if this is really helping the cause in the long run.
You know the more I have let this sit in, the more I really don't give a fuck. I have accepted the fact that we are at a disadvantage in the SEC with Bama and Auburn because of the SEC office, and the officiating, but so is every other team in the SEC. I'm just gonna quit mentioning it, that is until the next time we get screwed of course, I mean it happens really f'n bad, like the Ronnie Prude call at Auburn, the PI no call at the same stadium a few years later, the f'n Peterson int at BDS, now the scheduling, and the blind eye to Bama's bullshit, however the sooner we just accept the fact that the chips are stacked, and Bama's getting dealt from the bottom of the deck, the easier it will be when more bullshit happens, rest assured it will, and also though....the sweeter it is when we beat them.
I'd be interested to see if Bama fans feel anything like that in reverse. Do they have "examples" of getting screwed on calls? I know they fell they got screwed on the Reid INT in 2011 at BDS.
Like any other fanbase, it goes with the territory to support your team. I get it. BUT - When its on f'ing National Television and 9 out of 10 times the calls go in favor of the gump state schools, what would any other CFB fan make of such bullshyte? I have fanatical buddies from Oregon, USC, Michigan, Texas, Aggies....outside the SEC just to name a few - and even they are fed up of the bias and realize the fact where SEC HQ and officiating resides. I don't think its that bad in any other conference, not even close.
