Don't like the hire? Come to the games and show your support anyway!

For god's sake, that is what makes playing for LSU so rewarding for players! The fan support. Who cares if you think Miles is better than Petrino, or if Skip fugged up the search. If Miles is hired, give him all your support for ONE season at least!

If we treat coaches like this before they are even hired, who can blame any 'big name' coach for not wanting to come here? And for that matter, who can blame a recruit for choosing to go somewhere else? We are not that superficial, we cannot be that stupid.

I think pretty much everyone on this board will give him a shot. I will for one year, and after that if he starts stinking up Death Valley and it goes back to being Dead Valley, then I will have a problem dropping $2000 to keep my season tickets and parking pass.

No you won't. Judging from your responses, you will be the one leading the charge to getting him fired after he losses his first game. :dis:

I will not be calling for his head after his first lost, but if I see a pattern of losing and when moral victories are just as good that is when I will start calling for his head. If he meets expectations then me and the other 90% will have the egg in the face.

I hope that we can support the coach at the games no matter who we hire. The new coach is going to need more than one or two seasons to implement his system.

Don't "boo" at the games! Criticize the coaches where they'll never "hear" it by posting on message boards.

I wouldnt worry, he doesn't appear to have the inside track on the coachiing hiring/firing decisions at LSU.

You are right, I don't have the inside track, but I think if a p*** poor product gets put out on the field, I think the inevitable will happen which is the fans actions will speak louder than words i.e. The Curly Hallman Era when drawing 45,000 was doing good.

I never boo at stadiums, but I'll give him a full season to get his team integrated into his system. By the middle of his second season, the kids should have a good idea of what they are doing, and we'll have a good idea if he does as well. If he wins 8 or more games in both years, I'll consider that a positive start.

I sure hope Miles does not pull a Lou Tepper and state for the record it will take 4 years to implement his "system."
