I agree, although, I have always believed that the best way to shut up a loudmouth like White is to beat his team on the field, which the Saints did. I'm not sure what standing on the logo does except to feed more fuel into the rivalry... Saintslogo
Jeff Duncan addressed this on nola.com today. Says its generally not known (certainly not by national media) that since '06, the d-line and linebackers always take a group photo at midfield after big wins on the road. The photos are displayed in the meeting room like trophies. He compared it to the old tradition Florida St's old tradition of diggin up a piece of turf in opposing stadiums after a big road win. No disrespect intended to the Falcons, and Duncan believes Payton would not allow it to happen if he thought it would be a source of bulletin board material.
Not at all. I bet there are a lot of folks in the national media, and probably in the Atl media as well, who won't let a little thing like the truth get in the way of their storyline. So you're probably right.

they sure did! I heard this morning that he was quoted twice as saying this. It was on 1420, so it was probably espn. some woman was on the air at 145am. She sure didn't sound like someone who knew what she was talking about. "He was quoted twice!" big bleeping deal. all that means is 2 different reporters heard him and wrote it in their paper. i guess that's why she's on at 2am. no one (but me) is hearing her.
