I have a $50 Boss distortion pedal I use a lot but sometimes it's awkward to step on when I'm duckwalking across the stage.

probably have too many knobs and levers taking up all your time. with just a humbucker and a single volume knob you would have tiem to lower your IQ and insult with greater ferocity

oh i have all the time in the world.

but considering your music taste falls in line with about 98.3% of all other metal heads i know, then i’m going to also assume your intelligence (or lack there of) falls in line with them as well.

Yeah no joke, anyone who would say something as stupid as that doesn't even belong in this thread! Gilmour is clearly one of the best still alive. All subjective to style Joe Walsh, Gibbons in the conversation along with Jeff Beck and a host of others.

to clarify my response to him.

he falls right in line with vast majority of metal heads.

no respect or appreciation for anything outside of their own little genre. anything else is weak, horrible, “chumps” etc. They are so close minded that they honestly think everyone else on planet is wrong.

it’s a phenomena i can’t explain, but Metal guys fit this bill more so than any other genre in my observation.

Fans of almost any other genre at least recognize greatness from other genres. They may not necessarily like that style, but they know it and appreciate it when they see it.

So while i don’t mean to be insulting to the guy, it truly made sense immediately upon him telling me his preferred guitarists and musical style.

you don’t have to “like” Gilmour to admit that he is one of the most innovative and influential guitarists in music history.

I know people that really do not like Pink Floyd, but can acknowledge the talent level that Gilmour brought to the table.
His sound absolutely defined an entire sub-genre of rock. And it is easily recognizable as his own that he created.

It’s why his guitar sold for a frog hair below $4million.

Exactly, I didn't list Di Meola or Skaggs or Atkins or Gill but all very accomplished and excellent guitarist.

Can't leave off Warren Haynes either
