Is it my imagination or does it seem like the LSU D gets handled one week and then plays over the top the next?

Cold against a weak TN offense
Hot against FL the next week
    Cold against AU
Hot against Bama the next game

Tonight was one of the worst games for our defense. Especially in the tackling dept. AND did Drake ever get mentioned making a big play one time tonight?

Anyway if this bi-polar pattern holds up we should be in good shape for next week...

I wouldn't call 2 games out of 11 hot and cold, just a couple of off games. Both had the same threat of a running QB and that seems to create the weakness in our D. Ut the D was not off, that was the O not getting out if neutral.

We gotta get our corners to keep their hands off those receivers when the ball is in the air. Too many pass interference penalties this year.

I hope we can get our run stopping dee back next week.

Tenn was definitely the O but AU was a very bad defensive effort. Same against a similar offense tonight. Young players have trouble with this type offense and it showed. They'll be better next year with experience.

It didn't matter if it was Ole Miss on defense. Why can't we get cxalls at home?

I agree the non call against Tolliver in the end zone was worse than any that got called against LSU.

Yeah, but that one PI on Claiborne was BS. That whole drive was a gift for OM, because they got that crappy 'leading with the helmet' call against Mathieu when it wasn't even helmet to helmet. Yet on the ensuing kickoff, #37 for OM absolutely went H2H against Muncie, which wasn't called.

The only games we struggled with were teams with running QBs. It was dissapointing against Ole Miss since you would think we would have fixed the mistakes we made vs Auburn. We played much worse tonight than we did vs auburn.

Yeah especially since Ole Miss is
1-6 in the SEC this year AND we had a gimme-game against ULM last week. Seems like a lack of preparation on Chavis part more than anything else to me.
