You never know Fishhead. With G-rob's family in love with LSU, we could possibly see another Jai Eugene. Is it likely...probably not. But its always a possibility. You have to expect his family and friends to try to stay in his ear about the regrets that he will have over this irrational decision. I'm not expecting him to come to LSU but I don't think we can give up on him either. Cassius Marsh last year with us said he was 100% committed to LSU, wore LSU stuff at the army all american game. Then decided to stay close to his family and friends. Here's to hoping Trey Granier stays in his ear!!!
Maybe so, but clearly Miles and staff ain't waiting for him. If we get Region too, forget GRob. As it is, we have Collins, and now Austin on board.
None of it's a "done deal", and I'm no recruiting insider. I'm just looking at the big picture and trying to make sense out of it. Personally, I think Austin is a better long term pickup, but will need time to be coached up and trained. His mere size makes him a take, but he's not as good as GRob at this moment (IMO). You never know, Austin may be this year's Porter, but I hope not. I wish LSU could get 'em all, but it don't work that way...and this year, even moreso than normal. I can't see more than 23 in this class, and with Austin on board, we're at 18. Only 5 to go, and although it's POSSIBLE that GRob is one of them, I doubt it. I wanna see another big time LB in this class, I'd like Hill to be a part of it too. Rasco as well. Not many spots left.
These are the recruits I think LSU has a legit shot at, although with CLM, there always seems to be a NSD shocker. Not everybody on here has an offer from LSU at this time. This is pretty much the order I would rank them as "most likely to get". WR Odell Beckham, Jr. DE Jermauria Rasco RB Jeremy Hill LB Kendall Thompson OL Spencer Region DT Tim Jernigan LB Denzel Perryman DE Ray Drew DT Chuck Hunter CB Micah Eugene Of course, we may have some "attrition" between now and NSD...
