As you guys heard on the telecast last night, the LSU Tigers extended what is already an NCAA FBS record. Quite amazing.
What's odd is this was the closest OOC regular season game we've had since the Jarrett Lee comeback vs LA Tech.
We had the epic final moments vs Arizona State back in Les' inaugural season in 05. The hurricane game that forced us to play it at ASU. On top of the venue being moved to a road game, we didn't get to play our tuneup game vs North Texas the week preceding. And ASU was nationally ranked at #15. Incredible and unlikely pass play from Russell to Doucet to win it very late. Very similar game in which the offense did not get going until the 4th quarter, scoring 28 of their 35 points.
No it wasn't, TCU, Washington, UNC were all kinda ugly off the top of the old dome. But we were down 30 vs Tech at one point and came back.
Btw, Les Miles has a beautifully crafted 80 % winning pct at LSU (96-24). With the extreme likelihood that we'll win our next 4 games, that magical 80 percent mark appears to be intact for the near future.
