How many more seasons are we going to have to deal with this guy? Id rather see Grubbs back there running the ball!

He's owed $1,049,250 this season, $1,386,375 in 2014, and a free agent in 2015. I'd rather see Thomas and Sproles split all the caries and occasionally both line up back there. That's versatility and production. But it's not likely to happen, at least not this year.

Maybe the Saints should not take the "best" available RB with first round picks in the future? It hasn't worked well lately. Everything else Loomis does in the draft seems to usually work well except that. This season if he drafts a player in the first round that is not a D lineman or LB I will lose my mind.

I know our O-line isn't great, but man this guy seems like he doesn't have his heart in it.

I sincerely doubt that he isn't giving it 100% of his efforts. It's just not something he will be able to do without getting at least 25 carries a game and our running game isn't built that way.

I'm frustrated, but not angry with him. I think he's trying his best. The Saints shouldn't have drafted that type of player if they aren't going to run that type of running game. For example Kaepernick and Wilson are very good young QB's but they wouldn't work well in our current offense. Luck would thrive here.

    Square peg, round hole.

He sure seems passionate about Alabama football. I've never seen him act that way about the Saints. That's the truth.

Lots of players are passionate about their alma maters more so than their current NFL gigs. That's common.

I wish we would just trade the guy for a couple solid LBs or draft picks.

If it were feasible, that would be the best possible thing in the world. Know anybody teams that have a spare 3rd rounder or a starting caliber LB that's making a similar salary that they don't need? I have Loomis' phone number. Lol.

That is so true. If he had any heart, he would have fought harder on 4th down to get to the goal line, when it was him against Goulson 1on1.
