No numbers at all in that article. It's just a guys opinion. The polls and forecasts that use formulas based on who is likely to vote say that the Republicans have a 53% chance to win, which the pollsters call a toss-up. Hardly a landslide. The GOP could win it and lose it again in 2016 on Hillary's coattails as Democrats return to the polls.

Nah but deporting illegals, Keyston pipeline, and laying off the middle class a little would comfort me.

I agree with everything you say here. I'm surprised they're even in it with all that's happened. Though it's both parties to blame, the Republicans have failed with public perception and are widely viewed as the cock blockers in congress.

Landrieu is obama with tits. Has to Geaux. I saw that Edwards was considering running against her and damn how I wish he would have.

Though I agree with you 100% and really dislike that ho bag, I don't expect her to get beat. I was excited that there's even a chance.

Bullshit, she's much more moderate. She's pro-oil and chairman of the powerful energy committee. She's very pro-military, they don't call her Military Mary for nothing. She brings a lot of money to the state. She has seniority. And she's far smarter than the average Republican.

I fully expect Republicans to take the Senate later this year. That being said, the final two years of a two term President is a pretty boring span of time. The country has typically tired of them, their popularity is sinking rather than rising and not a lot gets done. Given the paralysis that has been the hallmark of our political system for the past 6 years, I see no reason to think that these last two will be any different. 2016 will be interesting to say the least.

2016 is probably HRC's year. The Rs will likely put up another midget to be whacked by her and the media. It won't need to be a media conspiracy as I just don't see a electable R on the horizon. Christie has been bludgeoned by Bridgegate (some self inflicted) Romney 2.0 doesn't look any better than 1.0 in campaign mode though I would have liked to see what he could have done as President. Scott Walker and other R govs don't seem to have traction. Don't mention a senator or congressman including R Paul or Fla's other senator. John Huntsman is another good sensible man who seems to not get traction and would likely get hacheted by the tea patty types as too intelligent. Don't make me throw up and mention Jindal, Bachman, Cruz etc. Jeb has W's cross to bear and is pretty drab.

The Rs only hope is that HRC gets upset again by a leftie or pushed so far that way by a challenger she can't get back to the center in time (like HHH or Al Gore). Not holding my breath for that as the Clinton war machine won't make the same mistake again. Also the country is in a different place and progressivism under Barry has suffered much as compassionate conservatism suffered under W.

Conservatives need a Billy Clinton/R Reagan type to tell our crazies to back off bring the party to the center and open its arms to more than true believers. The country is still center right in outlook with slight libertarian social leanings. I believe there are more natural conservatives around than liberals. It is just that the crazies have alienated so many with their nativist anger filled attitudes. We don't need an old testament leader we need a new testament way of being.

You do understand how colossally stupid it would be for Louisiana to lose a respected moderate in the Senate who just happens to chair the Chair of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources? No Republican running could replace that political capital. Who do you vote for over a woman who has led a stellar example of public service? The guy who runs on family values only to she his daughter knocked up? It's bad enough we already have a guy who wears diapers for his prostitute.

    Seriously?

I thought Republicans were supposed to be the party of personal integrity? I don't believe a word of it, but Republicans sure do and then they throw up ass-clowns like these two to try and remove one of the more effective Senators in the country because she has the gall to have a "-D" next to her name on the news.
