That's why I specifically pointed out that I wasn't down on the coaches. I was negative but not demanding something be done, or worse, acting like I had all the answers and that the coaches were idiots.
The SEC Tournament Championship game is currently on ESPNU. It's heading to the bottom of the 8th. My money is on the Tigers!
Well you know what they say in gentlemen circles: "If you don't have anything good to say, dont say anything at all." Not saying I'm a gentleman, but I do see how being like that would be very gentlemanly
My experience in Hoover was great! This was my first SEC Tournament. In prior years, I was always working but now that I've been forced to retire on a medical disability, I have the time to actually follow the team I've loved so dearly for so long...the LSU Tigers!!!! I went to Omaha last year & would love to go back! How sweet it would be to win back to back CWS for the last year in Rosenblatt, a place rich in memory, tradition & history! I wanted to share with my fellow Tigerforums friends what I found out upon returning home. First let me say everyone I met last week were fantastic, no matter which team they pulled for! The SEC fans really are THE best fans in the world!!! ___LSU becomes first team to ever win three (3) consecutive outright SEC Championships. ___LSU has now won 13 of their last 14 SEC Tournament games, including their last nine. ___The 9-game Tournament win streak is the longest in history! ___LSU becomes the first eight (8) seed EVER to claim a title in Hoover! ___The Tigers were 3-14 in their previous 17 games before entering the Tournament as the 8-seed, before rattling off four straight wins to claim the championship! ___Alabama had NEVER lost an SEC Championship game in their history! ___Attendance for the Championship game, 13,327 was the fifth highest in tournament history & total tournament attendance of 126,071 is a new record for both the largest average attendance & total attendance! Thanks Tiger fans!! ___Pitcher Ben Allsup's fantastic game was the first time he'd pitched in an SEC game and his first SEC Tournament game! I feel honored to have been able to witness these guys finally coming together as a complete team & playing to their potential. I think we all knew they had the talent & potential to be better! Matty Ott's Mom told me on Sunday he'd had problems with his mechanics but they had corrected it and he's good to go! I'm waiting for a stellar performance from him & I think we'll see it during this tournament! They were phenominal....offense, defense, pitching....this tournament made them a complete team & I think they're ready for anyone! I can't say enough about how they gave it their all in every game last week! The pitching was out of this world, the infield/outfield was amazing! They looked like they did last year...for the first time this year! No one expected us to go to Hoover & win! With the season we had, we were expected to go lose 2 games & call it a season.....but, these boys showed them they wanted to play ball....they want to keep playing.....and play they did! I'm so very proud of the coaching staff and every one of the guys on this team! It makes me proud to be a Tiger fan! As the guys got off the bus in Hoover for Sunday's game against Alabama, I said, "Come on guys, let's take this thing back to Baton Rouge"........Mahtook said," That's it!", Gibbs, Katz, Landry, and a few others said, "Yes Ma'am"......and we did! Now, we need a Regional...so Geaux Tigers and bring it back to us!!!!! Good luck guys, wish I were there! :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
