Yeah. I didn't want to throw that into the thread. But since you mentioned it... I wouldn't have thought he'd have been interested in females at all ... Just sayin'. The one time I ever saw him, he definitely seemed like "that type." I immediately understood Ozzie's point when I saw him in Baton Rouge. :wave:
Met the punk when he wrote for the Denver Post in the '90s. Me and 3 or 4 others chatted with him for maybe 10 minutes. When it was over we wanted to draw straws for the opportunity to drop him. Woody Paige on the other hand is a funny, down to earth, personable writer.
The irony here borders on greek mythology. He is always drilling players in trouble voicing pretty harsh criticism at them. Some deserve it, but others he is just taking advantage of the opportunity of the day that gives him a chance to be a blowhole. Now he is the subject of criticism, not to mention the actual outcome legally and the harm he inflicted.
