Clear to you maybe. I still have my doubts. You are assuming BR police are competent and actually established cause before arresting JJ. Based on how they handled this publicly, it ain't clear to me.

I don't believe there is any way CLM reinstating JJ until charges/case is dropped and he is found innocent.
Cmon SF you could have fixed it for me.:D

Was Lee @ the bar that nite? Did Lee kick someone in the face? I say again, Lee is our guy this year. All this other crap is just a distraction.

Were you at the bar that night? Did you kick the guy in the face? My understanding is that Lee was there. I'm gueiing you believe without any doubt that JJ kicked the guy, maybe you should tell the other members of the team what your opinion is because theres a lot of players who say they were there and JJ didn't do it. Remember what Miles said his reasoning was, it was because he thought there would be too much put on JJ with the legal issues and dealing with football. Sounds like Miles believes he didn't do it eaither.

I agree. In fact, I find the timing of JJs arrest very interesting. It was the day after the BRPD was made a fool of in the national media by the AP releasing the interview with the Shady's employees. The longer the case drug on, the worse the PD looked to the general public. The article by the AP was probably what pushed them over the edge. I know it may sound spiteful and hard to believe, but knowing the BRPD, I certainly would not put it past them. Not at all. They bobbled this thing from the get-go by releasing so many one-sided details early on in the investigation. They simply had to follow through and save face.

Yes, Lee was at the bar that night according to reports. Also, did JJ kick somebody in the face? If you say yes you are just as bad as the police, the media, and everybody else that has convicted this kid. Do I think he will play, no. But why not let him practice with the team at least. We don't even know if this thing will go to trial or how long it will take before it does. I think with as many players that were PO'd with the suspension. There aint know way bringing him back is a distraction. But, IMO there aint a decision on this until after Oregon anyways.

Les can't lift the suspension as long as Jefferson is under felony charges. That would have to change for Jefferson to be reinstated.

As the investigation proceeds, Unglesby needs to get depositions from other witnesses and get them in the DA's hands. If he can establish that there is evidence to the contrary of Jeffersons guilt and especially if he can establish that there may be lies in some of the alleged victims and early witnesses statements . . . then perhaps the DA will not go ahead with charges since his witnesses would face perjury charges if they testified. Or perhaps he sends it to the grand jury with too few credible witness for charges to stick.

That is the only way I see this being resolved before a trial sometime this winter or next spring.

No I wasn't there and don't really care what happened. My point is that you have to play the hand you're dealt. The team needs to be focused more of what goes on on the field instead of off the field. I hope JJ is not guilty. I was even suprised he was there. I know he's a good kid and this may all blow over eventually.
