He shouldn't have ever let TLN deal take place in its current state. It's the main reason the Big 12 is so unstable now. They've already lost 3 teams due to TLN and darn near destroyed the conference. He should be fired. I don't blame OU one bit for what they're doing. Could you imagine if Bama was allowed to have their own network and get a bigger hunk of the money? How many people would be upset here?
Thanks. I wonder if there is any chance that this will affect aTm at all. I'm guessing not because I am thinking that they are just tired of UT and see a jump to the SEC as a way to immediately elevate their status in the state. Still, aTm still resides in the conference, so there is always a chance. Disclosure: I'm not a huge fan of the idea of aTm joining the SEC. Nothing against them, I just think it'll negatively impact LSU recruiting in Texas in the long-term. LSU has been the gateway to the SEC for Texas players for so many years. I would welcome aTm to the family if they came, though.
