It's a good thing to have the game for the conference championship EXCEPT if anyone gets hurt and is not 100% for the championship game. I see both sides of the coin but I hate to see Bama having to win 1 out of 2 against us while we have to win both.
I can see both sides, but I guarantee you our Tigers WANT the SEC championship. I really hope that nobody is injured.
Can you imagine......JJ gets hurt.....JL is ineligible.....Met starts the NCG? We won't think about it.
Why don't we or the media ever refer to those 5 National Champions as SEC Champions? On a smaller scale, you ever hear John Curtis referred to as winners of umpteen District Championships? Myagi kicks azz too.
I thought of the same thing driving into work yesterday morning. Wasn't a big worry for Ohio St. (and Big Ten in general) a few years ago was the fact that because they had no championship game, they had such a long layoff??
I agree with the OP. For me, playing in this game is nothing but positive and it's another opportunity for this year's team to show it's mettle. When it's all said and done, this year's LSU team has the chance to really leave it's mark as one of the best teams of all time. :crystal::geaux: :crystal::geaux::crystal:
