I have seen things writen about when former presidents get together with each other or with a newly elected president. These are the only men in the world that really know what it's like to have the fate of millions of people in their hands with every decision they make being mulled over by thousands of critics. I see coaches of super power football teams sort of like that. Very few know what it's like to be in their shoes. I believe that they have so much professionaly in common that they would have a lot to talk about.
I don't think saban likes the camera. Some say he's a camera hog. I don't think so. I think he goes in front of the camera because he has to. Sorta like taking a lick for the team. I don't think he wants to be at any show or do any inteviews. That's why he's so pissy in front of the cameras.
Saban is Saban, period. IMO I think they have a better relationship than most think. I think at the very least they respect each other and behind closed doors its not what people make it out to be. JMO
Not sure why most assume they hate one another. Coaches want to beat each other's azz but you leave that on the court/field/diamond.
Nick Saban walks into a bar. The bartender says, "we have a drink named after you". Saban says, "you have a drink called 'secret fag'?"
That explains why they didn't talk. Nick wouldn't understand anything CLM said about football (at least his public football talk.) Hope CLM saves all he has to say for a while until 1/9/12. :geauxtige
