1. Thinkin about you all down there in Isaac's path. Batten down the hatches! Stay safe. Geaux Tigers.
  2. Yeah I hear they're even better. I've caught some but they weren't quite big enough for me to want to clean.

Isaac is a faggot. He's not coming strong. He'll end up being a good boost for the local economy with all the generators, gas, water, batteries, food, etc. being sold. Thanks for the gesture though- mighty fine of ya.
  3. He doesn't have the want or the chest to compete at a high level like Gustav.
    b_leblanc and LSUTiga like this.
  4. Not so fast, lsu's: latest projections, weaving the spooky history of Katrina's landfall 7 years to the day, shows Isaac coming into NOLA at a perfect NNW direction. That is unlike Katrina, which drove straight up north, but to the East of Ponchartrain, thus reducing the surge height in the lake. Isaac, for now at least, is positioned to create the SAME 9-12' surge in L. Ponchartrain because of the NNW direction--even though Isaac is much, much smaller.

I guess what I'm saying is there's no point in minimizing such a beast; we've had a bunch of storms in the past--"no name storms"--that piled so much wind-driven surge & rain onto our communities to have caused major fusterclucks.

Call this beyotch gone when she's gone (all hurricanes are "she's"...else NOAA would call them "himicanes.").
  5. And there isn't a damn thing we can do about it but prepare and hope for the best.
  6. Might means run Question for you . Should tax dollars rebuild N'awlings again?? Or should tax dollars relocate the City
  7. Stay safe!
  8. We should secede from the USA.

Then join OPEC and become a Cajun Kuwait. Tax the $hit out of oil and gas and any goods coming or going from the port. we'll take care of ourselves and not have federal agenda driven down our throats.

In no time, we'll rebuild the wetlands, have free health care, and be putting $1.00/gallon gas in our brand new silverados and tahoes !!!!
  9. In that case I'm moving back to La! LoL
