As I was walking back from class today I saw a crane taking off the sign on the back of the North scoreboard. I'm not sure if they are putting up new signs or what, but the signs needed to be changed. Anybody who has been to campus within the past year knows that the signs no longer looked like that. They had faded considerably. In other news, the past two days there has been a crew pressure washing the outside of Tiger Stadium and it is making a huge difference.
As long as they put up a new sign: "2003 National Champions" ...I'll be OK with it...      :champs: :lsug: :champs:  :champs: :lsug: :champs:
That's what I'm hoping for bayareatiger. I would love seeing that when I'm crossing the bridge when I'm making my way back to LSU after visiting home this weekend.
I have a feeling that is the main reason they are coming down. I still want to see LSU as the predominant type but have a reference to the national championships on it also. Both of em.
It's about damn time! It was looking really nasty. I'll have to drive by this weekend to check it out.
Yeah, they are putting up new ones. One of them is suppose to be a team shot of them holding up the crystal ball i heard.
That would be really nice. i was just thinking a few days ago that they should change that sign on the scoreboard it was getting too faded. I'll have to check it out on my way to class today and see how it looks.
According to TAF--or the email I got about it from TAF--, it's because the "old" sign was the incorrect size for the back of the scoreboard (too small).
Herb Vincent has promised that there will be much cleaning and new lighting in the older parts of the stadium for 2004. The new surcharges are expensive and the people in the lower bowl need to get something, too. Not just the fat cats in the skyboxes and club seats.
