CPM never gives a shit about mid week games. This doesn't bother me. We have really good weekend pitchers that will take us far.
I mean he, generally speaking, has a much longer leash on midweaks and plays some of the new/younger kids.
I really hate being the #3 ranked team in the country and losing to UNO. I know it's a mid week game but we need to find some depth in our bull pen if we're going to compete in Omaha.
I didn't watch it, did our bullpen fall apart? Looks like we had a good lead with Gilbert until the mid innings.
Tonight's game was on 100.7. I caught it semi decent on West side of Houma. Shaky at best on East side. By the time I got down the bayou, signal was non-existant.
I didn't really watch the game (was at the movies) but I did see the meltdown in the 5th. Wasn't so much the bad pitching as it was great hitting and really shitty fielding. OF was horribly out of position and trying to make great catches instead of just taking 1 hopers. Happened twice with Duplantis and Deichman. Seems to me the scouting report was non existent or just ass wipe all together. Pitchers serving it up and hitters nailing the gaps. All this just from the 5th, so I dont know if this was an epidemic or the truth for just an inning. The whole thing looked lazy to me, like an unplanned scrimmage. Got Hofstra tonight at the box. We'll see if the humility of a UNO loss is a wake up call or not. UNO is not a bad team at all. I said earlier they had great bats and real speed on the bags. Combine that with Dunn having a long leash with the pen and not just mid week, but always...there will be days like these.
