If we are going to lose then do it with our two best because we ain't stealing the first one without them. Florida will not lose the last two, if we give them the first one it's over. You would think after fighting with them all year for first place we would know that. Definitely Poche for the first and if we win, I could see saving Lange for 3 if he would need it but using them 2 & 3 is just stupid.
Looks like Peterson, maybe. Here's what CPM had to say. Here's an article from the The Advocate I thought you'd want to read: http://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_87334c58-59bd-11e7-adf9-0f7915138ba8.html
Since he pitched almost a full game last night, it is being said he may not be a go on Wednesday if the series goes 3. But yeh i'd go with Poche in game 1 on 4 days rest, gives us a lot of wiggle room by taking game 1.
Me too but it seems to have been decided that Peterson or maybe somebody else in the Wholestaff family will be on the bump. Unless Mainieri is playing mind games with Florida and us fans. I hope he sees something in Peterson that I haven't seen. He sees those guys in practice every day. Slaughter had more strikeouts than hits this season. Who would have thought that he would not only get the start but play a key role in the win. COM said he chose Slaughter because of the way he had been hitting in batting practice.
And how many CWS championships have you won? I'll rely on CPM, his coaches, and pitchers to decide what's the best option to win for the Tigers.
I'm just not sold on Peterson starting game 1, wasn't he the one who got rocked in the 13-1 ass whooping? But then again maybe that was just what he needed to get his head right and fight back. Gilbert was rocked as well and came back and pitched a gem.
A nightmare. He pitched us a 9 inning 1 run game where the gators racked up 8 runs. He does that consistently. Our only win in that series was with Walker pitching. Offense had it's issues then. Paps was sub 200 and tirk was just getting warmed up on fucking with sparky. Hell, sparky wasn't even a sparky yet.
It is being said sr. right-hander Russell Reynolds will make the start in game 1, he's 1-1 with an 8.59 era, no starts this season.
