Yes. We got there in 05, and left in '11. I liked it there, mainly for the hunting.

 

I'm not a cold weather fan, but I bet the pheasant hunting was top notch.

ER is about 20 miles north of Anchorage, and about 10-15 min from Elmendorf AFB/ FT Richardson....JBER.

 

Been through there a couple of times, back in my pilot days.
