1. Well there is your problem, who the hell makes gumbo in a skillet?

  2. I make my roux in an iron skillet. When everything is just right I putt it in a stock pot.

A skillet is the pan with slanted sides. To add to the confusion, this pan is also sometimes called a frypan or frying pan. The slanted sides make this pan perfect for stir-frying and quick cooking techniques where you're moving ingredients around a lot in the pan.
  3. Lol...see ya there (along with nuns and priests) !!!

  4. what's behind the thinking, that there's something like "purgatory", is there a reference to it in the Bible?
  5. It's a theological slight difference between Catholic and Protestant theology. It shouldn't be a deal breaker either way. The idea is this: a person is saved by faith, but is not totally Christlike until they're purified by God. The Catholics think that that final purification takes some time. The Protestants think that it's instantaneous.

We don't know...no one does. Time has no real significance in eternity. I think it's funny that people take it so seriously because either way, saved people are purified. Who cares how much or little "time" it takes.

  6. Another thing...most atheists I know live real Christian lifestyles by loving their fellow man. They're better Christians than most Christians when you go by that. At least they don't flip each other off in the parking lot after church trying to get out first. Lol
