Tennessee is not any better than LSU at this point. Both struggling at the QB position, bot teams winning a bunch of close games even to keep themselves at 2 losses.
Well, one thing about losing games early in the season, they have a tendency to drop you further because there are still a TON of undefeated teams at that time. Now that there aren't as many unbeatens and one-loss teams, it's easier for them to justify only moving teams down 7 spots or so for a loss. My issue is that once you get locked into an order, that order doesn't change. So even if we beat Alabama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas, the voters won't have us jump Tennessee (who plays Vandy and Kentucky).
The BIG 12 media hype is a joke. Texas A&M gets a moral victory by losing to Oklahoma by 7 points. The AP rewards them by leaving them at 22. Oklahoma State loses back to back games to Oklahoma and Texas. The AP rewards them and drops them from around 18 to 25. 95% of the other teams would fall off the AP radar screen. You explain the math. I am not at all saying LSU is getting screwed because I believe their ranking is about right maybe even a bit too high. 1/3 AP 1/3 Coaches = 2/3 BCS = Media Hyped Bull $hit
Yesterday on the Sports Reporters, one of the guys said, "Finally, we're going to get to see the match-up we dreamed about last year--OU and USC." I hate the AP with a passion--anyone with a brain could see that Auburn (and it irks me to an extent to say it) is playing better ball than either of the two in front of them.
it comes down to this.. is LSU with Randall or Russell and a great D better than Tennessee with Rick "Friggin'" Clausen starting?
