    MikeD, facts are not permitted.

I still say Hudson is the X factor. When Hud plays well, LSU plays well. We need his senior leadership.

my buddy works on the sidelines for LSU, calls the injuries up to the pressbox...he says Saban cusses his players up and down. Now, my friend is no football player but he says he could never play for someone like that. He likened it to having a boss that would cuss at you all the time.

For the fans who have virgin ears sake, I hope you didn't hear Jordy's half time questions for Saban during the Ole Miss game.

Playing division 1A football is a little bit different than working for the Shaw group.

Although, I had a boss(distract manager) who loved to leave voicemail messages full of curse words. He "yelled" all the time. It became kinda funny. These messages were sent out to about 90 employees.

Some basketball coaches also do the tossing! :)
As in Bob Knight and the chair.

You guys give Brady a break, geez.....
I'll save my evaluations whether good or bad until the halfway point in the season. :thumb:

You guys know good and well that he has been waiting for the opportunity to bash Brady and the basketball team. He's still hoping we will drop a game or two before conference play - what a loser.

The team looks awesome and I have been very impressed with these young men and the progress that has been made. This team could make a ton of noise this season - I'm excited...

TE, you (still) suck - can't wait to read your long, stupid response - Happy Thanksgiving, Turkey...

It was a joke, actually, but you guys are pretty much ready to belly up at the Thanksgiving Buffet Line at the next meeting of the Brady Butt Munch Lunch Bunch...

    Enjoy the season, fellas...

That was tongue in cheek, and you fellas know it...it was meant as a dig, but nothing more than light hearted...

Having watched the UL-L game the other night, I think Neltner has come light years in terms of his body conditioning. He looks much better this year than last. I also think that Glen Davis showed you exactly what's going to hinder this program, and it's the antithesis of what Neltner showed: A lack of body conditioning.

Davis is a load inside, and no doubt cleaned the glass very well in the game I saw, but he dragged his hulking body across the midline much, MUCH after the rest of the team and even the opposing team. If you think this guy gets gassed late in games now, wait till the conference season starts.

If Davis can't keep his conditioning and gets gassed late, then that means you'll see more of the same double and triple teaming Bass was shackled by late last year. Shaq could score against the doubles, but the triple teams sent him to the league a year early, and they might just do it with Bass as well. It all depends on Davis' conditioning. But, when he has his legs under him, Davis shows that LSU has a bright low post future on the horizon.

I think the other key to success this year will be - as Crawfish said - Antonio Hudson...This guy can light it up at times. At other times, he looks lost. What is this chalked up to? It's chalked up to physical defense.

Hudson's a poor man's Reggie Miller type. Not very physical. You're not going to see Antonio become a slasher anytime soon. It's just not his game. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not him. The crucial thing this year will be if Antonio has developed enough of a skill set to get his own shot off when the screens aren't enough and he's getting totally D'd up. Will he be able to create space to get his shot off? Will he pose enough of a threat for dribble drives and penetration that defenders will sag off just enough to give him the sliver of a look he needs?

If he can, then he's got an All-conference outlook for this year. If he can't, then I think he will do just as he has the last three years...Dazzle us for short periods of time, and then have us complaining about where the hell the dazzle is the rest of the time...

Hudson and Davis are the big questions, and of course, the Tack Minor time bomb watch is always on, though I think he can reign it in. What I really worry about is whether or not Brady loses control of his team again this year...I'm tired of the mid-season swoons and the slumps. He has been known to start off very well, and then faceplant midseason to erode all excitment and buzz out of the program, only to string together enough W's to build you back up, only to let you down at the end...

In other words, he's consistently inconsistent, and I want r-e-s-u-l-t-s. You guys keep hoping and praying and wishing on your lucky stars...I'll comment on a game by game basis, good or bad, and as I said during the discussion the other night out here regarding rep points...

I just hope I've built up enough to where I'm not in the black or red by the end of hoops season...

he has played GREAT basketball for 5 straight games now dating back to last season...that's pretty consistent if you ask me...we will see how he progresses when SEC play starts.

I drove from Shreveport to go to the game last night, and I was pretty impressed. I also watched the first 2 games on Cox, and I believe this basketball can make some serious noise if they continue to play up to their potential. If Brady does not make the Tournament this year, then he should definitely be gone. I've been a Brady supporter for a long time now, but he now needs to show me some results. I'm still a Brady support 100%, but let's see how it does this year.

For Brady to keep his job, this year, a tournament bid is a MUST.
Next year, a sweet 16 is a MUST.

You should have compared LSU basketball team with NBA all time top 100. Is that your point of reference?

    Huh,
