reasons we lost!! 1) The Sally kid for West Virginia was killing us in the paint and outside. He finished with I think 23 or 24 points. 2) The coach's son for west virginia shot lights out from 3-point land. 3) We had no inside game. WV outshot and outrebounded us and we have two great big men in Bass and Davis. We just got beat by a smart ball club. 4) We have no motion offense. I don't think Brady has ever tried implementing one. Our offense consists of pass the ball slowly; take a three point shot; or give it to Brandon Bass. We pass the ball slowly around. I know you guys saw WV's offense; very crisp passing; back door cuts; screens on the ball, etc. We just got beat by a team today that was very hot and very well coached. I personally think we have the personnel to be a very good team. It is early in the year. I even think we can win the west with the talent we have. We shall see.
Chill SD. Most of your posts sound like they are written be a 12 year old and I rarely say anything. Your post: Needed a response.
I was referring to the 39% shooting, do you deny that? We couldn't shoot the ball last year if you remember right? About the 12 year old boy remark, if thats the best you can come up with is to take attack me then you lost the argument. Last years ball club shot 39% if you still can't understand that... SCREW IT,I'd rather spend my time doing other things than trying to defend myself. :dis:
The only positive I can get from this game is that Bass will not be leaving early. The team was outplayed and out hustled for almost the entire game. When LSU made their run to pull within four, WVA called time out. When they came back on the court LSU seemed out of gas. Several plays on defense they just stood and watched their man go to the basket. West Virginia, on this day, was a very good team. They shot over the shorter tigers and hit the threes. When we tried to guard them they back doored us. I was disappointed in the play of Bass, Davis, and Neltner.
I am wondering if John Brady's analysis of the past years results also mentioned that they didn't win a lot of games when the shooting percentage differential is 21% worse than your opponent, and they shoot 60% or better. He of course is the statistical maven after istlstlmcdlt's own heart. The man who came up with the gem of, "In years when we were more successful, we took more shots compared to years when we were not successful." This guy is a statistical genuis, and from the sounds of it, the "run and gun" offense he spoke about in the preseason has now gave way to the "throw it around the top of the key and hope someone slips" offense of so many years past... LSU Basketball...It's FANNNNNNNNNNTASTIC!
Roygu, they were today, but LSU did more to make that statement true than West Vriginia did. Yeah, like I guess they weren't against the likes of Adams College & that collegiate hoops powerhouse known as Duqesne, whom they eked out a 72-69 win on the road! That Duquesne facility has always been known as a place where good teams go to die... To think they won by 3 over Duquesne 72-69, and we couldn't put up as much on the scoreboard as they could...That's really underwhelming...
i find it hard to see you posts on brady credible when you support smoke 100% as the LSU baseball coach
