well to be honest, Pollack played exceptionally well this year and I was one of his biggest detractors last year. He made tons of big plays, sacking the QB and recovering the fumble all at once, blocking punts, huge sacks. This year he played up to his hype.

Agree he is too small to be an every down player in the NFL but the guy has the heart and talent to make a difference in key situations. Though, Im not sure he will be more than a backup when its all said and done.

YOU FORGOT HIS MOTOR!!!!!!!!! HOW COULD YOU FORGET HIS MOTOR?????
Pollack will be a bust IMO, but someone will be more than happy to waste a pick on him based on media hype only........the Saints are a likely choice here.

I think his point was that Spears wasn't even nominated. To answer your question though, it is a little sickening to watch the (SEEMINGLY) majority of the awards go to players from only two schools.

USC recruiting visit from last weekend.

  9. Pollack is a very good player but the media overhypes him a redicilous amount. I'm tired of even hearing about him, his name AND his motor.

Im just especially pissed about this because Spears and Michael Clayton are two of my favorite players to go through LSU and i hate to see the guy not even get enough recognition to get nominated for the award. The theory about preseason hype determining the winner doesnt wash here, since spears was a preseason all-american. im disappointed for him not to get the nomination. I brought up Pollack because he won and it was a good basis for comparison.
