Yeah, True, But what terrible timing. I mean for God's Sake what the hell!!! Right before the biggest game of the year for the players. What a letdown for the players. Just my opinion

Agreed. He SHOULD NOT be coaching the bowl game.

Can we get a mod to MERGE all these redundant threads?? He's gone, we know it...people should look to see if it has been posted before wasting space. No offense.

I don't blame him for going but I don't like the way it all happened!

    WHAT A CHICKEN S&it

I lost a lot of respect for saint chicken s*it today on giving a press conf. outside of Baton rouge on his decision. Based on history, he should fall flat on his face in the Not For Long League. Have fun coaching crack heads.

But on a finer note, we appreciated the memories. Thanks for bringing LSU back to the promise land. Bring anybody that does not have a hard on to coach crack heads.

Once the team new there was no way to keep the lid on this. He had to tell everyone including the press after the team was told

No way you can forget the good things he did but there is also no way you can forget how dishonest he has been the last three years about his interest in the NFL. He is probably the best coach we have ever had but that doesn't mean he has the right to be dishonest with LSU.

Don't be upset at Nick for the way this happened. It happened the way it has to happen. You can't say what you are really thinking in the press until you have a real deal, period. The deal may never happen, or it may. Until you have certainty, you are in your old job, period.

If you think otherwise, describe a practical scenario for the change of head coach and let us all critique it. I'm a manager, and I've had to lie to my employees about a transfer, they say are you going, and before all the paperwork is done and you have to be non-commital, "I'm not sure". A few hours before the official memo comes out, I will acknowledge it to some old timers who ask, and I will ask them not to say anything about it till the memo comes out, but that is the way orgs. want to do the deal. Its not lying, its doing your job for which they pay you.

I thank St. Nick for his contributions to LSU, and I wish him the best in his new endeavor. I will not become a fins fan because of him. He never bled purple, it was just business. I bear him no ill will, it was just business. The last 3 years were the best 3 in my 45 years of watching Tiger football, and I am greatfull.

I want to move on quickly to the search for our next head coach, and I hope this is my last post on coach Saban.

Let's show some adult class on this. We've had a good run, lets not mess it up with a messy exit. Its not warranted in my opinion. Saban didn't chicken out and go announce it is Fla.; he had a strong committment to his players, and based on when the decision was made, Fla. was the first opportunity to tell them all. I respect him for that, and keeping the Dolphins in line so they didn't announce before he had time to tell his players. Classy in my opionion.

Skip will let him coach the bowl game but he shouldn't.
