We have gone to three straight bowls, one in the 12 years before him.

If you don't want him, we'll keep him.

Oh yeah, how many of you guys know who the only Coach in D-1 is to have beaten Bob Stoops 2 times?

My Addition: He also damn near beat OU and Texas this year as well. His team collapsed in the second half against Texas, but Les has put a team with a sorry tradition on the same field as Texas and OU. His team is still learning how to win, considering they only had that one winning season in the previous 12 years before he arrived.

Point well taken. The good ole boys obviously do not realize that the fan base has more of an ownership in the program unlike how it was back in the 80's and 90's. We have a legitmate top ten program and why can't we hire an A list coach. :nope:

    Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE

This is a Joe Dean-type hire. No way did Petrino turn the job down. They choose Miles over him. Horrible decision. Oh well, back to the pre-Emmert, pre-Saban days. Thank you, Board of Supervisors! You are truly a cluster of idiots!

I wish somone could egg Charles Cusimano's house for probably having his hand in this hire. He along with Joe Dean were the sole reasons why LSU was the bottom feader in the conference in the early 90's. Welcome back Pre-Saban, and Pre-Emmert.

I may strongly disagree in regards to the quality of your coach, but you are spot on regarding the "pressure cooker" he's considering here.

We will spit his ass out faster than you can say "Ron Zook' if it even appears he's not getting the job done. This state is way too loaded talent-wise to settle for mediocrity, period, end of story.

Actually just as you have no say on if he is hired, you will no have a say on if he gets fired.

    Rep points for you.

You paid Brett some bucks to express yourself around here, and you deserve a good reputation.

I hate the idea of stealing anybody's coach, but, what choice does LSU have, ReaganEden? RC Slocum is unemployed, but that's not a good hire.

LSU certainly is capable of doing "More than LES"?

Couldn't help it. I'm a little bitter right now.

You're correct, but I'd say a football coach who doesn't win and, therefore, doesn't bring in the lion's share of revenue that's helped make LSU a top ten university in terms of total athletic dept. revenue ($36 mil and counting annually) won't last very long in Baton Rouge.

LSU athletics is, relatively speaking, big business. I don't expect the CEO of my company to last long, either, if we don't turn a profit.
