Long time Texas posters on RP: "F RP" - "Screw him" - "Piece of cajun trash"

I noticed many of the horn fans have not had the same opinion about kids who did the exact same thing but did it to UT.
They say
"He realized UT is the place to be"




No kidding! I didn't see anybody from texas complaining when Quan Cosby told the OU coaches at 9:00 pm that he was coming to Norman, and at 10:00pm tell Mack Brown he was now going to ut.

Typical Texas fans.

 

I'm not saying we all wouldn't be pissed if the tables were turned. My point is some people go way over the top when it comes to recruiting. Give it a rest, these are high school KIDS, meaning no matter how physically talented they are , they are still immature and do immature things. That being said, RP could still commit to Texas tomorrow. Thanks for all of your good posts on recruiting.

 

I know you can probably make comparisons from the past, but the Quan Cosby situation does not compare at all. Cosby had not been committed to anybody previously and had not been saying "I'm definitely going to _____" at all.

 

ATX... what do you call Colt ? A LBer?... you guys have a decent QB coming in.

 

He's a decent QB, yes. A QB that should be in line to take over for Vince Young at Texas, no.

 

If u guys don't land RP this year, Im sure Mack will pull another 5 star next year with VY being that much closer to leaving... was Applewhite a 5 star ?

 

I don't believe Applewhite was too highly recruited, but those types of QBs don't come around everyday. As for the next year thing, Texas fans have been telling ourselves that every year lately.

I am confident that we will land a good one next year though, as the QB class in Texas is much, much better than it was this year.

 

You will get a good one next year, your school is too prominent not to, and the opportunity will be wide open.

This sort of stuff is not unexpected from Texas fans. After all, this is the month in which Texas competes for its championship - the national recruiting championship. Damn right they are all pissed off! The only thing they have a chance of winning anything and their chances are dwindling away!
