Even though we are playing absolutely great right now, I like our ranking. We haven't faced any real threat, and that will be the mark of this team in the weeks to come, how they handle themselves in the SEC. Put us too high, and it gets in these players heads, and it could have a bad effect. Right now we are the best team in the country not ranked with a single digit. No one sees this team as over-rated. I like how our team is fighting for respect right now. We didn't head into this season as the SEC favorite, and I get the feeling Saban will have this team quietly beating the SEC teams, while everyone else in the league wonders why we are dominating everyone. It's very hard not be optimistic right now, after two such big wins, but if Saban can have this team improve every week . . . this season is going to be special.
.... Yes, I like the idea of working our way up the ranking ladder as the year unfolds. The team that should be ranked higher in the polls right now is Alabama. I am suprised that they are not ranked in the top 20.
