  2. ermmm... I just made the list earlier today.. I believe you are thinking of luvmesumlsu's sig
  3. I guess so, I can't recall.

  4. no, saban didn't cheat.
  5. Bear had three times the liver of Saban.
  6. I was thinking exactly what Boston Bengal said, Charlie Mac.

...Saban was more like an equalizer for having to suffer through Curley Hallman.
  7. Saban was a good coach, and he brought us the NC. Charlie Mac was our Bear, and we ran him out of town--only to suffer through 20 bad years before Saban arrived.

The trigger happy people around here this week are making me feel sick.
  8. I hope LSU never has a "Bear". Bama certainly has a right to be proud, but . . . the hero worship at Bama is so strong it is a little disturbing. No other coach will ever measure up at Bama.

LSU has Bernie Moore, Paul Deitzel, Cholly Mac, and Nick Saban. That's LSU's tradition and there ain't a damn thing wrong with it.
  9. I don't know man, I think we'd all welcome a Bear Bryant like coach with open arms. Anyone that wins that many games and national titles for a school certainly deserves some kind of "hero worship". We would certainly have "worshipped" Saban in a similar way had he stayed and won a few more national titles.
  10. My interest has been aroused. I decided to look up the two(Bear and McClendon) and make a little comparison, not including ties.

    McClendon

    18yrs.........137-59

    Bear

    25yrs.........232-46.......6 NC's
