I did notice that for warmups, Ryan and Flynn took turns throwing to 2nd team WRs but it is hard to define what a 2nd team WR is, b/c we got so many good ones... I think the situation is about the same!
thats the problem. we have a team full of #2 wrs. time for some people to step up. enough. AU WR's were men amongst boys in comparison. the route running and playmaking ability of all 3 including Mix highlighted a glaring weakness of our own.
I for one am not going to be like everyone else and write off our WRs for 2 drops... We got 4 WRs on this team that will be in the NFL at least 4 too
Not unless a few of them step up big time. Our only 2 consistent receivers have been Skyler & Buster Davis thus far. It's not about 2 dropped touchdown passes, it's about all the drops & all the sloppy route running. NFL teams don't draft receivers that can't catch. All of our receivers are capable, but haven't demonstrated it yet. Nobody is writing them off, just being honest about their production & not pretending that LSU has such a great WR corps like we were hyped to.
Anybody see the Texas Tech drills their wide receivers do with the tennis balls? Maybe it's more common than I'm thinking but those guys do look good out there.
yes and they look that good every year. its not just this group he has this year. not only do they most always complete their routes well they catch the ball with their hands. leach is a freak but he knows offense.
If Perriloux plays fine, if he doesn't fine----Personally I agree that Flynn is the 2nd string QB and should play----Does that make sense to anyone other than SabanFan? Oh yeah and for Scenario # 5---The day of the game he (Perriloux) walks out of his dorm room and twists his ankle on the sidewalk. :dis:
