I don't think Whitworth played TE. Peterman did.

Whitworth played TE up to his sophmore year. Then he switched to tackle.

Holy crap! I didn't click submit but once. I'd delete them if I could find out how. It sure isn't obvious.

But even WITH those 2-star recruits, we still have the #3 ranked class in the nation.

Florida State currently has the 5th-best class according to Rivals and they have two 2-star recruits as well (an OL and a DB).

Our 2-star commitments aren't expected to be starters right away. Lott is a 2-star DE, but will be moved to TE, where, like someone else said, his star rating is expected to jump. He's being moved to TE because we have a void at that position for a lighter, pass-catching TE. The other TE's on our roster are more blocking TE's. Now, with Dickson signing on, we have a 4-star TE that is probably considered to be "balanced" in terms of blocking and receiving.

In terms of Snyder, here's someone that has a huge frame, but has yet to fill it out yet. These scouting sites only have limited, if any, film on this guy playing tackle. But since he's playing high school in our own backyard, our coaches have had a chance to see him first-hand and before lots of other programs. And if he's impressing them with limited experience at the position now, imagine what he can do with a few years in the program and 30 additional pounds.

I wouldn't let the knee injuries bug you either. Everyone gets hurt. And in both the cases of Livingston and Snyder, they aren't the only recruits at their respective positions to sign with us. At the DE position, we still have lots of talent already on campus, and a great player like Tillman committed as well. On the o-line, I know we're hungry for some linemen, but I seriously doubt that there is anyone in this recruiting class that will start for us next season. Perhaps there are some OL recruits that will get playing time as true freshmen next season, but I don't expect any of them to start.

Basically, both of our recruits that have experienced "ACL injuies", have a few years to for their injuries to fully heal (if they haven't already) and be given a chance to play down the road.

Just to be clear, I wasn't complaining. Just wondering if other people noticed.

I believe one of our RB recruits & one other player also have had ACL injuries during their junior year. It doesn't bother me, I was just wondering if perhaps that could be a strategy of Miles to get good players.

Murphy ripped his ACL to shreds at the end of last year, but he's tearing up defenses this year, looks to be back at 100% already. Don't know who the other one with an ACL injury is though.

Mark Snyder tore his ACL last year too.
