simply stated, Landry's hit on Croyle early in the second half of the LSU - BAMA game completely broke BAMA's spirit, possibly permanantly, and crushed their will to live. In the Auburn game, croyle looked like he was running from ghosts.(purple and gold ghosts wearing #30)
I'm lost in what the message of this thread is. All I know is that all the SEC tigers beat bama so all is well and will be so for another year:thumb:
If you want to object to being the Tulane of Alabama then i will comply with your request and refer to you as the Grambling of Alabama. There is that better!!!
I have no particular hatred of Auburn, but I believe the LSU win over Bama took some starch out of them, regardless of what Croyle says. It's natural to have a letdown after a big game like they played against LSU. Perfect season shattered, lost hope of playing in the Rose Bowl, physically battered, scared offensive line. They suffered a letdown in the first half, regained their composure especailly on defense in the second half. That takes nothing away from Auburn. They have a solid team, went out and took care of business. They probably would have beaten Bama even if LSU had not played them the week before. But LSU softened them up a bit. To think otherwise is to ignore 120 years of college football experience.
Comparing Auburn to Tulane and Grambling is harsh. Neither of these two fine upstanding LA universities deserve such abuse. Hasn't Tulane suffered enough without you adding insult to their injury?
My Alabama friend sent this to me... He said that eventhough he hates Auburn he had to laugh when he saw this bumper sticker:
Re: My Alabama friend sent this to me... A bama friend sent this to me also. I told him it might be more appropriate if it said "Honk if You Didn't Sack Brodie."
Re: My Alabama friend sent this to me... Very true. I'm sure the last two Sundays that Brodie has been on the couch with ice bags on and Advil within arm's reach.
