Oh yeah, wasn't that the SEC Championship game? Ya know, the one we beat your asses out of the privelege to play in? Thought so. Bottom line is, given that our very first 'Bye' week was following that awful showing, we were able to rest and regroup and come out dominating for the bowl, with our backup QB starting. But it seems as if that rest was too hard on your boys.:hihi:
There is another team.. a team that lost its top 2 runningbacks, its quarterback, its top 3 offensive linemen, and lacks depth on the defensive line.. yet I am sure this team will be ranked in the top 4 by athlon.. wonder who it could be.. hmm...
I guess u forgot to read the last part of my post. Pretty sure in the end I said W and L were all that mattered and that you won the west. I was just pointing out the flaw of Berge's post, but that went over your head.
Yes, your cryptic vernacular is simply too advanced for my uneducated self to comprehend you sly wordsmith, you. Hey man, whatever line of reasoning makes you feel better, I guess.
an 9-3 lsu team that beats the snot out of UF in the seccg is probably better than a 11-1 Louisville or Boise St. thats how you tell. but i dont care about looking back and saying "boy that USA Today preseason poll was right on". i care because some rankings (not athlon, of course) effect the bcs rankings. teams are being rewarded or penalized by this type of ranking without having ever played. what if UF and Auburn stink like UT did last year, or if Fresno St and Arizona are great?
look at how low they dropped auburn after losing caddy, ronnie, jason williams, karlos dansby, and the rest of that class. they went from undefeated #2 to like 16-25. as an lsu fan, ican say that they did get boned on that one
why? they lost 3 first rounders on offense and 1 on defense. you expect them to go undefeated after starting a new QB and trying to replace two of the best RBs auburn has had since bo jackson? <img>
well jo addai is no bo jackson but im just saying that they grade down a lot for losses and dont really have the time and resources to look at the backups
