That suck a$$ game just set SEC football back 30 years. What a HORRIBLE display of football. Nothing but inept, lousy football. MSU couldnt score against the officiating crew.
i actually enjoyed the game, pretty good d on both sides...I think the cocks will challenge florida for the east this year.
Kind of boring but I expected it to go that way. Not a lot of offense. MS didn't look bad on D, just couldn't move the ball very well on O.
Was it really good D, or just two really bad teams playing each other? I think it was the latter--and if Sidney Rice couldn't light it up against State, what's going to happen to him when he plays with the big boys this year? He's not a secret anymore...
MSU front 4 looked pretty good. The ran by SC tackles like they were standing still. MSU's offense definitely stinks though. Dixon the RB looks pretty good though. I don't see SC challenging Florida though. They didn't show very much to me. The defense was OK but they played a sterile offense. SC's offense wasn't that impressive either. Of course I expect the offense to click much better later in the season. To be honest if it wasn't for the luck and the heads up 1st down run by the punter, I believe that led to a FG and the trick play by SC to get the TD, SC's offense didn't do a whole lot either. It was a pretty boring and ugly game. Oh yeah with the QB's getting hurt, that got me nervous, because it could happen anytime. That was too bad about Henig, hopefully he can play by midseason. And why was Mitchell rolling around like he broke his leg when it was only a laceration and why couldn't he walk off the field without being carried. It seemed like he was a bit of a wimp. 6 stitches and he is acting like he had a Theisman Break on his leg.
One thing stands out....Miss State Backup QB is TERRIBLE and NEVER came close to an open reciever downfield, he looked like a deer in the headlights.
