        Totally agree. Sometimes in life, talent and drive meets the perfect opportunity to exert same to the detriment of an opponent. This ain't Kentucky or Alabama, friends. This is a statement game on Saturday, and that statement isn't going to play too well in Gainsville, trust me.
I belive if we get pressure on Leak and sack him at least 3 or 4 times with added pressure on every other play then we will win. I am not that impressed with Leak especially when he gets pressured. In my opinion he was better as a freshman, the only time he beat us, and has declined slightly over the years. He seems timid at times. This concern plus a decent running game from I don't care who (Broussard, Vincent, Hester, Scott, Williams) A combination of all 5. Let's say 150 yards on the ground and we will definitely win because Fla. will be playing a nickel defense just urging us to run on them.
Of the 116 teams listed at ncaa.org, Florida is one of only four teams who have yet to recover a fumble. I know this because Iowa is one of the other three... the national average thru 5 games is 3.9. ...not even sure what that means, other than it's not good.:yelwink2:

There is no doubt in my mind that Bliss was instrumental to keeping Auburn close with LSU for the final 3 quarters and ultimately giving them the opportunity for the win. It will be the same with UF. IMHO, the three keys to an LSU win are: 1. Field position - LSU currently ranks dead last in Punting among SEC schools, while UF ranks third. It will be imperative that LSU get a career performance in the Swamp. Don't give me the part about positional punting, if you're not burying your opponent's offense and forcing them into long, sustained drives for any points they must earn, you're doing the team a disservice. 2. LSU's DE's - Meyer's offensive scheme places uneeded pressure on the defensive front to read-react versus simply teeing off with the outside rush. LSU must be able to utilize it's size/speed advantage of their DE's out of the 4-3 set - but, only at the right times. Pellini will manage this part well if Fisher can manage #3 below ..... and managing it well is the key obtaining sacks on Leak. Where you will see this manifest itself will be inside the redzone. If LSU can avoid the big play from outside the RZ, they have a huge advantage when the secondary is able to cheat-up against meyer's scheme. Key, key point. 3. Early Lead - LSU must be in a position to take an early lead and allow their strength - the Defense - to utilize the full range of options in Pellini's scheme. It might also take some early steam out of the crowd, just enough to make a difference.
# 5 applies to Miles as well. I think the players will handle it well cuz there ain't NO PLACE LIKE TIGER STADIUM
Bullchit. The defense can't win every game for us and they need to be off the field as much as possible. We may very well have to protect a lead and use the new clock rules to beat Florida on the road. Nothing frustrates an offense like seeing the clock tick away when they can't get back on the field. Leak and Tebow can't score any points if they can't get the ball back. LSU needs to take whatever long passes the defense gives them, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for long runs--they haven't happened yet. I will never understand people who only respect LONG passes and LONG runs. All that matters is scoring and if we have the lead we need to score slowly and steadily and let that clock run. 8 in the box won't stop a short passing game. It will stop a short rushing game that we wouldn't have to rely on. Absence of evidence is NOT evidence of absence.
Ok, Coach Miles! Keep up the great conservative FB! Nevermind you have a great passing attack only seeing 25 passes a game. Let 'er RIP*, Less! *Rest in peace
# 1 & 2, If we can keep field position and control the ball the game is ours. We must also win the battle of turnovers.
The key to this game is just as is what against Auburn. LSU will move the ball in between the 30s.....what they do with it beyond that will determine the outcome.
