Miles singled out Tyson as having a good scrimmage. The question is, who was he going up against on our number 1 offense? I'm playing devils' advocate, but could it be that he stood out so much because of who he lined up against? I certainly hope not, but would still like to know.
Its not like Tyson is a freshman or something. Tyson proved himself last year, the guy's a total beast...
Good point, Tyson could become a first round pick if he keeps it up this year. Plus these questions arise every year and they can drive you insane, so sometimes its best not to look into it too much.
Tyson Jackson has been a good player and should have a break out year in 2007. I think he is the fastest defensive lineman on the team. Tyson Jackson 2005 Freshman All-SEC (SEC Coaches & The Sporting News) 2006 Played in 13 games – had 6 solo sacks, 4 assisted sacks; 13 solo tackles, 24 assisted tackles; Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in win over Alabama in which he had four total tackles, one sack and two pass deflections ldskule: :geauxtige
Tyson will be a first round draft pick, I don't think it had to do with who he was going up against. However, I heard there were like 6 sacks during the scrimmage, and regardless of how talented our DLine is, that means cause for concern on our OLine.
Nothing to worry about, the whole offense of line was blocking Big Glenn Dorsey and they did a good job.:hihi: Joke, I know Dorsey didnt practice this spring.
I'm not sure, but I think that includes first string defense vs 2nd string offense, which makes it easier to swallow.
Plus they are playing with down by first contact rule. All the d lineman have to do is touch the QB an he's down. It's likely that some of those 6 would not have been real sacks in live game action.
Well, from now on, you'll have to adjust that a sack is a sack, no more JaMarcus abusing the defense. Both our QBs are average sized QBs...:thumb:
