Hi Tiger fans - I am new to this board and look forward to talking with everyone, but I wanted to mention that I came across a new site that tracks pro player NFL/MLB/NBA news broken out by college. Here is the link to the LSU pro player page:

How about we take you up on that offer first. Stick around and talk for a while. Contribute with some posts of merit to our forum. Then advertise your website. Thanks.

For those of you who want the site, just google the guy's user name. He's done this elsewhere too. Hit and run spammer.

Well, that wasn't quite the welcome I was looking for, however I plan to contribute. I am a sports fan like the rest of us and I am just trying to help out my friends that power the site, a site that clearly has value and is legit as it is run by *edited*.

As it specifically relates to LSU, I happen to have been at the draft last week as a fan and had a chance to see Russell in person. He is likely one of the biggest men I have ever seen -- and his diamond rings and diamond studded watch weren't small either!

And personally, I truly enjoyed the Tigers demolishing ND. Quinn should have gone 222nd in my opinion.

In any event, I am not some loser spammer and I hope the other folks on this board don't just discount me because I offered up a link they would enjoy ... TLW

You are a prime example of a spammer. One post wonders who go around to forums posting links to a site to generate traffic. That sir, is unsolicited and clearly spam.

    nice edit 99'

    That is a horrible opinion.

Well, first thing I did was googled your name and saw you are a one-post wonder elsewhere with the same exact post but modified to suit the forum you were visiting..... and that only shows the couple that you were not deleted on. If it quacks like...............

If you're here to talk LSU, then great. What did you think of the Ole Piss game last year?

You are entitled to your opinion on Quinn, and I am entitled to mine. Let's be fair here -- there are plenty of QBs that have gone in the first round that had great college careers and amounted to nothing in the NFL (Druckenmiller, Leaf, Akili Smith, Cade McNown just to name a few).

Quinn got spanked on national TV by LSU, and he was 0-4 in his career against USC, a team that is coached by an NFL-level staff.

I am not saying he won't have a decent career, however I am not totally convinced he is the second coming of Tom Brady either. Maybe 222nd pick was a bit harsh :) How about 122?

I will not deny posting on a few other boards about the site I was interesting in spreading the word about. The site in question is not some link farm looking to generate a few bucks from google links -- it is a legit site powered by a legit company looking to be a utility for college fans to read the latest news for their alumni as they get into the pros. If you disagree that there is value in a site like that, I would totally be interested in your thoughts and opinions!

As to your question about Ole Piss, while the game was certainly exciting and continues to show that on any weekend anyone can win, let's be honest here -- if LSU had lost that game, after already dropping two in-conference games to ranked teams, that would be been detrimental to any potential bowl invitations and likely would have impacted Russell's draft stock. As we all know, they gutted out 13 points in the 4th QTR and Bowe likely INCREASED his draft stock based on his performance.

And in the "can't we just be friends" category, one of my closest friends grew up in Baton Rouge and I have a signed LSU Alan Faneca hat lying around my apartment somewhere :) Best, TLW
