Complete mystery man to me. His Rivals profile doesn't even list an interest in LSU. I'm going to remain skeptical for now. As far as I know, he's never really talked about us, and usually talks about Auburn and South Carolina.

Yup, Scout now has the article up.

Sounds like we like him as a RJF type defensive player where we can switch him between DE/DT depending on down & distance.

That is a bit worrisome, but I trust our coaches.

His motor probably stopped running a couple of times.

We're putting 1st and 2nd round DL talent in the league multiple times per year for several years in a row - I trust the evaluation of Pelini over Garner personally.

UGA's track record with DL aint too shabby either--seymour, stroud, grant, etc. and johnson and moses this year. dont know how long this garner has been around though.

    ok, checked him out.

been there since 98, so did coach seymour, grant, sullivan, etc.

    but get this

"The personable Garner was named All-SEC and honorable mention All-America as a senior at Auburn in 1988. He captained his team that captured the 1988 SEC Championship. "

didnt we win that one?!!! did he pull and o'leary? if he put that on his resume, i want him fired. (and then maybe les could pick him up)

It looks like Georgia just has a couple bigger fish...

I'll be curious to see how his senior season plays out. He could be a good one, but at this point he looks like a good recruit, nothing special. His offer list is pretty impressive right now though, so he's not a nobody.

Who Rivals' lists a prospect as having interest in is often a guess. If the prospect has had an interview on the Rivals network, they'll take the teams from there, but they made a few they figure to play into the mix. Also, lots of these guys haven't had any real interviews for Rivals to judge from.

True, but on the other hand RJF is the only Miles/Pelini recruit that has made a substantial impact thus far.
