Unless Nick has changed he must be about to blow a gasket – not that any of these actions are necessarily out of the ordinary for college age folks. This is the kind of thing that keeps the players in the public eye for the wrong reason and I would expect Nick to do something dramatic to get the team’s attention – we’ll just have to wait and see if all the money and pressure to win immediately has changed his MO.
Our third-string sophomore quarterback (who has never started a game) got national attention for unsubstantiated rumors about counterfeiting and a misdemeanor summons for trying to enter a bar under age. It should not be surprising that Alabama's All-SEC, pre-season All-American senior is going to be written about widely. This will not fly under the radar. The horrible timing is not good for Nick's stress level. Wouldn't you like to witness the human explosion when Nick talks to Castille? They may hear him in Birmingham. Les had to deal with four off-season team arrests and took quick action. The inept knapsack thieves and the bar fighter were dismissed from the team while the fake ID'er was suspended for a month. At LSU, Nick tended to wait until a conviction before meting out punishment, sometimes charges against football stars get dropped. It will be interesting to see what measures Nick takes with his discipline problems at Bama.
I'm wondering how much the pressure to win right away will play a part in his decision when it comes to disciplining players. With a $4 million a year salary and Bama fans thinking they are already in the championship hunt there will be pressure to win now.

It's kind of hard to gauge the Alabama fans feelings. Tidefans.com locked the Castile threads this morning at 10:00 because of rumormongering and have allowed no new posts on the subject. Understandably, they are waiting for some principal party to go on the record before they allow wild-ass rumors to circulate. But it does make it difficult to assess what the bamanation really thinks about all this.

In Bama's final scrimmage yesterday, he had 5 tackles and one int........maybe he didn't realize the scrimmage was over. :lol: Luther Davis had two sacks..........btw.
