Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III Hopefully none of them did anything and just went to see Odom beat someone down, looks like at least one of them would have said hey this is not a good idea, that thought may have clicked in when the police showed up. With everything else that has went on you would think they would know better.

Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III This is a guess. It's being reported that four cars full of players went back to the apartment with Odom. I somehow would doubt that 12 guys who weren't involved in the original incident hopped into some cars to talk Odom out of retaliation. But I could be wrong. On the way over, RP might have been saying, "Hey, forget those guysl. I have a better idea. Let's go get a Big Louie Platter instead." Maybe some players refused to go. Maybe some at the scene tried to talk sense into him. Still, you have the scenario where -- allegedly -- two teammates shows up and says, "Some guys jumped me, let's go back" and 12 others go back with them...what did they think was going to happen? Of course, it could have been worse. Didn't Zook show up at a fight to talk some trash? Or am I misremembering things?
Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III Emotions are obviously high and we're disappointed; however, they are still our players and though we can voice our anger, please don't forget that disparaging personal commments about players aren't allowed. Just as some of us feel a need to lash out in the heat of our emotions, so do kids act out of emotions as well- in doing so, we are no better, in fact, worse cause we're adults. Let's wait and see how it plays out as the facts are brought to light. We'll be okay and in a few days we're going to be pumped when we go to the dog pound. :thumb:

So you would believe that at least one would have though rationally about this and say something to the effect that nothing good can come of this. 18-22 year olds still know right from wrong. I fear this is going to turn ugly and more will come out of this. why the wait in reporting this? didn't this incident happen on July 28?:geauxtige LSU! :helmet:
Re: Arrest Warant for Derrick Odem III I agree, since the Guy and his father didnt want to press charges...all they wanted was a apology and him to pay for the damage. Should be minor slap on the wrist and we get on with the Season. Odom has to work his way back out of the dog house to be reinstated. Still not good pub for LSU, but once kickoff is under way, all will be forgiven.
