Yep. He must have had a loser childhood. AP voters vote with their heart, not their mind which is why this poll is irrelevant.
Bama fans should know about MNC poll history and records. How many titles do you guys now claim?:hihi: We all know the BCSNCG is the only thing that counts today, no matter what the media tells us.
The hell it does, man, the 20th Century is over everywhere except Alabama. Since the advent of the BCS, being #1 in a poll is just that--it's not a national championship anymore. You can't be the national champion if you don't play in the national championship game. Period. A newspaper in Opelika named Auburn #1 in 2004. Sorry, it doesn't mean squat! Auburn got screwed out of a spot in the BCS game, just as USC was screwed the year before. But for both of them to claim "half" national championships is preposterous. The BCS crystal football and the MacArthur Trophy goes to the national champion. Anyone who claims a national championship and doesn't own the crystal is a lame pretender. The BCS ain't perfect, but its all we've got until a playoff happens. It works as intended by eliminating "Split National Championships", which is a dirty word around here, Terry.
This guy is a complete idiot.. Just read the last statement in his blog... East Carolina is better then Miss St... Does he even watch football??
AP poll is a joke. Gilbeau is proof. There are 64 other idiots just like him that vote. Although, Rabalais does a decent job voting.
Sunday, August 19, 2007 LSU RANKED TOO HIGH -- FOR NOW Glen Guilbeau LSU has far too many questions across the board on offense to be ranked No. 2, which is where the Tigers are in most polls, including the A.P. poll released Saturday. The five teams above LSU in this poll all have more experienced starting quarterbacks. The Tigers also have issues on the offensive line, where coach Les Miles has two true freshmen in the two deep and could end up playing three or four. Only one significantly experienced receiver returns as well. The defense could be the best in the nation, though, and LSU could well move up to No. 2 or close to it very quickly in this poll with a victory over Virginia Tech on Sept. 8. Virginia Tech, though, may be the best opponent on LSU's schedule this season, and that will be a very tough defense for quarterback Matt Flynn in his first Tiger Stadium start. Florida has been overrated in several polls this preseason, considering the number of players it has lost from last year's national championship team. Quarterback Tim Tebow needs to prove he is more than a novelty act. Look for LSU and Georgia in the Southeastern Conference championship game. The Guilbeau Poll: 1. USC 2. Michigan 3. Texas 4. West Virginia 5. Virginia Tech 6. LSU 7. Louisville 8. Georgia 9. Oklahoma 10. Wisconsin 11. Florida 12. Ohio State 13. Tennessee 14. Florida State 15. California 16. Auburn 17. Penn State 18. UCLA 19. Hawaii 20. Arkansas 21. Nebraska 22. South Carolina 23. TCU 24. Boise State 25. Rutgers Editor's Note: Louisiana Gannett News reporter Glenn Guilbeau votes in the weekly Associated Press poll. The News-Star will reveal Glenn Guilbeau's weekly vote this season for the A.P. top 25 poll.
