All teams take injuries, but LSU is deeper than most of them. The sky is not falling. Do not give in to "the catastrophe syndrome."

The silver lining is that I feel good that there will be players on the team that can step up and grow up quickly.

Injuries are something a championship team has to fight through. But having injuries to three senior leaders--Arnold, Flynn, Doucet--this early in the year is terrible luck.

When it's 3rd and long in the 4th quarter of a tie game with Florida, Doucet will be needed on the field.

Without Doucet and Arnold and with Flynn gimpy, the South Carolina game is going to be much closer than it should be.

And when the players finally get healthy again, chances are they're going to be out of synch. The defenses they play will be in midseason or late-season form, while the hobbled Tigers will be in preseason form.

Right on ramprat! We should be ok we'll just need some young guys step up like Vincent and Broussard did in '03. Ironically it was against South Carolina when Addai and Carey were both hurt, and the freshmen came in and did great. The team will need everyone to elevate their play but if ya'll have'nt noticed this team plays for each other, they have great chemistry and senior leadership. Don't hit the panic button too soon.:thumb:

Strictly having lots of talent/depth alone doesn't always compensate for injuries to key players. But let me just say this. Thus far, I feel much better about our young guys being prepared to step up under Crowton than I ever did under Jimbo. He's managed to get them all involved to become major contributors. LaFell has now proven that he's ready to take the no. 1 role when Early is out. Hell, he did it when Early was in. Byrd, Tolliver, Jared Mitchell...they've all been used very effectively up to this point. Our WR corp is sick, ya'll.

    That is really a freaky coincidence:eek: !

I still remember that game quite well; watched it on TV while I was out of town.

Thanks for adding another injury thread. I thought the Tiger's Den was getting way too diversified on topics. We need more repetitive topics.
