How can you expect RP to throw a perfect deep ball on his 1st and 2nd pass of the game......at the end I might add? RP wasn't in the game long enough to get in the flow of the game, so you can't judge him on that.

MF, on the other hand, played the entire first half and his throws were all over the place. The one to Richard Dickson WIDE OPEN in the middle of the field would have been a score or pretty close. MF has been too inconsistent on his throws this year, even before the injury. He has to play better for us to have a chance next week.

One of my co-workers is a big tOSU fan and before I left work today she asked "Can LSU beat FL next week?" I said that they were playing in Tiger Stadium and it was a done deal. She said "Thank you very much". They REALLY HATE FL. in Ohio.

And the play in which he had great protection, he threw a pick to that Skehan dude.

I like Flynn, but I like him better when he's healthy (obviously). I think by now we can see that when someone is hobbled by a bad ankle, they can't plant and throw a nice pass consistently. Don't forget the pass that Tulane should have picked in the endzone before the half. Good protection there.

I could have gotten through LSU's o-line. Tulane has about 2-3 people who can bench over 400 lbs compared to LSU's 60+, yet they blew through that line as if it weren't there. It was like when we played Bama a couple years ago when Croyle was on his back the whole game, because they couldn't block anyone.

This game kind of reminded me of the Booty days when Rohan road the bench because of "loyalty," if you can even call it that. Perrilloux opened up the run game for Hester, Scott, and Holliday, while gaining yards on the ground himself. Yeah, he missed those two wide open passes, but he wasn't allowed to get into a throwing rhythm.

We should have hung 50+ points on Tulane, who barely beat Southeastern last week, but I know we lost passion and focus during the week. It's hard to play the big dogs, and then "waste" your time on the little ones.

Oh yeah... I lost count on the penalties. 11 in the first quarter? That's pitiful. I hope they get that fixed.

That being said, I think we will learn from the mistakes in this win and beat Florida.

    GEAUX TIGERS!

You totally missed my point. I was not criticizing RP. RP was standing on the side line wanting to play really bad. In his own mind I'm sure he thought he could come in and play better then Flynn. It's a good check for ANY young players ego to see he too can over and under throw wide open receivers in a game. This is a very close team and I think all this works to our advantage. RP & MF are both outstanding QB's. Any team in the SEC would jump at having either on their team. Especially Steve Spurrier. :hihi:

This is a great game to follow up with practice the week before the Florida game. :geauxtige

    My Thoughts

    1) 1st and foremost, we won :geauxtige
    2) Time forget about this one and put our game faces on for UF
    3) The OL needs to get back to playing the game we have been praising them about the last couple of weeks
    4) Im glad we had a chance to get all our penalties out in one game and still route our opponents. We should be good in the catagory for the rest of the season.
    5) Dayum, we must have a chit load of talent when KW is only getting THREE touches.

Last but not least...ohhh this is gonna be a fun game in Tiger Stadium next Saturday night!!!

An uninspired effort, against an uninspiring opponent.

We won. That's good. We just out-athlete'd them and out lasted them. Give Charles Scott credit, he looked good. LaFell had the drops, unusual for him. Tolliver looked good. O-line needs work still.

Flynn is not the Flynn of MSU and VT. I hope he comes around for Fla.

I don't like the RP for a play here and there. I wish he'd get a quarter to run the club, find a rhythm.

I think we'll come out better against Fla. We better.
