I am leaving in about an hour to take my son on his Cub scout camping trip. We are going to a campground north of Kiln, MS.

    Does anyone know

    1. the CBS station closet to here.

    2. If I can't pick it up on TV, how can I listen to Hawthorne? What station? will 98.1 pick up this far away?

Can't miss the game. I am breaking Cub scout rules by bringing electronics, but some how I have a feeling I won't be the only one.

    All help appreciated.

Radio will be available. WWL ( 870 AM) in New Orleans is a high-power station that carries LSU as is KWKH (1130 AM) out of Shreveport. There are also three Mississippi radio stations on the LSU radio Network.

You may be close enough to New Orleans to get WWL-TV. Or maybe Meridian WGBC-TV channel 12.

    Mississippi TV stations.

Man, some of you guys are crazy. I schedule my whole life around LSU Football and sometimes Baseball.

I couldn't see myself ever missing a Football game. I don't have any kids yet (But we're in the process) so it's hard to say. I think if my kid has a sporting event (or anything else that a parent should be at) while an LSU game is going on, I think only momma will be there.

You can take about a 10 minute trip up Hwy 603 to Diamondhead, #5 Teebox and watch it with dheadtiger & crew. :)

    Thanks, for everyone's help!

Just got home from the trip. Had a great time. I highly recommend Scouts for anyone with a son.

Let me just say I was worried about being the guy who didn't follow the rules but I was far from the only one.

The cub scouts in attendence all earned their electrical engineering badges by running 700 foot of extension cord up the hill to the shower house, so we could hook up the 32" flat screen that the scout master brought.

It was a bit fuzzy, but we got to watch the game.

hahaha, wait till you have kids.

Even if it is a boring 9 year old soccer game or something, you'll feel guilty if you don't go.
